Get a Year of Free Flights for Deleting Your Instagram Photos
What’s the worst thing about social media? Seeing friends on a tropical vacation, basking in the sun in a booth seething with bright fluorescent lighting.
If you need a vacation (and a warmer climate), JetBlue is now rewarding a select few for their digital detox commitment – a year of free flights.
Yes it’s true. JetBlue, the blue-chip Terra airline, offers the three lucky ones (and a companion for each) a flying year with one notable rule: you have to get rid of past Instagrams.
Why? This is most likely because you will be an airline influencer / advertiser for a year. But let’s be honest, if there was a price to pay for someone’s decency, it would probably be a year of free flights.
There are a couple of tricks, however. As the Points Guy pointed out, you still have to pay for these annoying fees and taxes. You will also have the last seat, which means you won’t be particularly interested in where you sit when you book your flight. Still, free flights !
How to get? To join the JetBlue All You Can Jet contest, you will have to remove all photos by March 8th, the contest deadline. Instead, you also have the option to archive them. It’s easy to archive and keep all your photos, but if you have a lot of them it will take a while (you can learn how to archive and re-share them with our handy Instagram guide ).
But that’s not all – you will also need to post one photo. This photo should showcase the vacation you so desperately need (beach? Mountain? Cave?). You must tag JetBlue and use the hashtag #AllYouCanJetSweepstakes. The photo should also contain a hint: “Anything you can __”. You can upload a photo of your choice to the JetBlue website , which will automatically populate your photo with a request.
To learn more about the competition, visit the JetBlue website . The winners will be announced in March as I sit at my table, simmering.
