Find the Cheapest Flight Weekend With Travelgam
Over the past few years, a fair amount of my vacation has become more of a “one weekend trip” rather than a time frame. This means that instead of looking for flights on a specific weekend in October to make the trip, I could instead take the same trip on any weekend in October or September.
If you have similar travel plans, Travelgam can be a great solution when it comes to planning.
The site, which is a reimagined version of Weekendflights , is specifically dedicated to weekend travel. With it, you tell the site where you want to go, and then it makes some suggestions about when you should take that trip based on airfare, keeping its offers only for the weekend.
For example, I have a good friend in Chicago whom I plan to visit “sometime soon.” I entered Thursday’s departure date and Sunday’s return date into the site and was given prices for every weekend from now to September. The cheapest will get me there on the first weekend in May for $ 319 round trip, which is a stark contrast to the $ 888 RT price the following weekend.
The weeks are color coded so that you can easily see when prices go up or down throughout the year. The beginning of May is clearly time to visit Chicago from San Francisco.
Click on one of these prices and the site will show you the flight options. The listed price is actually average, so when I clicked on that $ 319 deal, I found it was somewhat cheaper for my flight to Chicago: $ 277.
The site is geared specifically towards weekends, so if you’re going to travel at a different time or want to stay longer than a few days, this might not be the best solution (I recommend Google Flights for a quick overview of all your options).
However, if you’re in the early planning stages and looking for a cheap flight to visit a friend for a few days on the weekend or get away quickly with friends, this is an easy way to quickly see what options you have.
