How to Unsend Facebook Messenger Messages
Typos happen. Now that they happen on Facebook Messenger, you have the option to delete them. Facebook finally started rolling out the ability to delete Messenger messages this week.
This feature won’t work forever – you should catch this message glitch within 10 minutes of hitting the send button, but it at least gives you the option to return to a rambling sentence or declaration of love that you’ll immediately regret.
To delete a message, click on the message you want to delete. When you do, you will have two options at the bottom of the screen: “Delete for everyone” and “Delete for you”.
This “Delete for All” option will delete the message for everyone in the thread. However, you will not go unnoticed. All participants in the thread will also see a note in their place that the message has been deleted by you.
Worth noting: This feature is slowly rolling out, so you may not have it yet.
And if you want to delete your entire account, not just one or two posts, we have a step-by-step guide on how to do that.
