Use Your Child’s Drawings As Greeting Cards
If you have a child, you have an endless supply of children’s drawings. The walls are limited, so what to do with all these handprint masterpieces? (Alternatively, throw them in the trash can or stuff them in a memory box so your child knows what to do when he’s 26 and you decide to turn your old bedroom into a fitness center.) Try this idea from Descendant Reader Dennis :
We saved all (almost 2) of our little kindergarten guy’s drawing (he brings something home every single day) and used them as thank you notes for the holiday season. We just wrote a little note on it and stuffed it into an envelope. Paid a little more in postage, but we got good responses and it took almost no time.
This is a great solution – we often re-do the old work as greeting cards for the kids (usually when we scramble five minutes before we need to leave for a party). The recipient’s parents are usually delighted. (“Did you do it for Billy? This is so thoughtful!”) Hey, no one needs to know that this was created in Mrs. Willow’s morning preschool class.
