Hear All March Madness Games Live With Google Home and Google Assistant

March 2019 Madness may be nearing its final stages of gaming, but Google Assistant can help you keep up with the tournament with a variety of voice commands and even let you listen to every broadcast of NCAA Westwood One game for free provided you have the right device.

Like most Google Assistant commands, it only requires a simple voice command “Hey Google” to set up a game, but this feature is only available on Google Home, Smart Display and other Google Assistant-powered smart home devices and speakers. You can make a request such as “Hey Google, put the NCAA March Madness on Westwood one” or “Play the March Madness game [team name] on Westwood One” to hear the games play.

While live listening is limited to Google Home devices, any device equipped with Google Assistant, such as an Android phone, can be kept up to date using specific March Madness terms and commands. For example, if you happen to miss a game, you can check out the latest news or updates that you may have missed by asking, “What’s the latest news from the March Madness?” or “Who won the game [team names]?”

Google Assistant can also provide you with a schedule of upcoming games by asking questions such as “When is the next March Madness game coming out?” “When will [team name] play next?” or “What’s the schedule for the march of madness?”

NCAA March Madness 2019 will end on Monday April 8th, but these teams will be available until the end of the tournament and will presumably continue to operate during future tournaments, provided such services are still in place.
