Pre-Register Now to Beta Test Call of Duty: Mobile for IOS and Android
Following in the footsteps of PUBG and Fortnite , Activision brings Call of the legendary multiplayer Duty to iOS and Android devices with Call of Duty: Mobile. The game will include classic Call of Duty multiplayer modes such as Team Death Match and Free-For-All, as well as fan-favorite maps such as Nuketown.
Call of Duty: Mobile will be free to download from the iOS App Store and Google Play when it launches later this year, but publisher Activision is giving players the opportunity to play the game early on with pre-launch beta events and you can pre-register for access now.
How to pre-register for the Call of Duty: Mobile beta
Android users can pre-register to access the beta on the Call of Duty: Mobile page on the Play Store . Simply sign in to the Play Store using your Google account, then click or tap the “pre-register” button and you will automatically be signed up to receive a notification when the beta is available on all eligible devices you own.
While pre-registration for Call of Duty: Mobile is not available in the iOS app store, both iOS and Android can pre-register through the official Activision Call of Duty website . Click the “Pre-register” button and enter your email address and other required information. You will receive an email when the beta is available in your area.
An official start date for beta testing for iOS or Android has not been announced, but reports seem to indicate that it will happen in the summer .
Interest in the beta is likely to be high given the enduring popularity of the Call of Duty series and the success of other console and PC games that have successfully migrated to mobile, but it should be noted that pre-registration does not necessarily guarantee beta access.
However, do not lose hope if you are not in the first wave of testers.
According to the official Call of Duty: Mobile FAQ page , Activision will be holding several events ahead of the beta release in the coming months, although the number and duration have yet to be announced. As there is no firm release date other than a wide launch window aimed at the end of this year, we may see a few pre-launch beta sessions, which means players will hopefully have plenty of opportunities to play the game early on.
The specific support for the device is also unclear at this time. The development team is officially said to be “working every day to both optimize the game for high-end phones and make it widely available for many other devices,” but no specific devices have been confirmed.
It’s safe to say that flagship phones like the iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S10, and Pixel 3 may be among the most likely supported devices. It is likely that more devices than those will be supported by launch, but it is also possible that the beta will be limited to high-end devices at first.
