Who commissioned the touching comedy series Out of the Mind of Ricky Gervais about a man who uses his wife’s death as an excuse to treat everyone like shit? Netflix! What do you think? No one is interested in Gervais’s Dark Comedy After Life (Friday) (translation: Gervais’s wife calls him fat, Gervais calls the child fat, Gervais calls the stranger in the park fat – nervous!), Whose trailer’s denouement is definitely scored on Philippe’s inspirational song Phillips! (I’m happy that the swollen guitar at 1:35 is Phillip Phillips, and if not, I don’t care it’s the Philippine guitar, and it goes into an embarrassing jogging playlist after “Viva La Vida”.)
Netflix’s offerings this week are not very good. And, to add insult to injury, Newsies is leaving on Tuesday. You just have to keep browsing the Jeopardy archive – Ken Jennings and the 3 million dollar guy are back in the Battle of the Decades!
