Here’s How to Fill Your Freezer Bag With Liquid
Placing food in a freezer bag is a great way to ensure that it freezes evenly and minimizes damage. On the other hand, stack liquid foods in a pliable plastic bag.
While there are bag holders specifically for this task, I’ve found that the best tool for the job is the large measuring cup you (should) already have. Simply open the bag, press it against the cup, and fold the edges over the edge. Cover it with soup, stew, or other liquid or gel that you need to freeze, then place it on a flat surface, carefully remove any excess air and close the zipper before placing it in the freezer.
