How to Donate a Portion of Your Amazon Purchases to Choice Support Organizations

If you are an Amazon customer and are disgusted by the introduction of the Six-Week Abortion Ban Act, you can set up your account to directly support pro-choice organizations.

Through the Amazon Smile program, you can choose from over a million nonprofits who are eligible to receive a portion of Amazon sales in support of their mission.

Perhaps the New York City Antifa expresses it best this way:

The AmazonSmile Foundation donates 0.5% of the purchase price from qualifying orders (that’s 50 cents for every $ 100 you spend), which is admittedly not much. But it really does add up; Amazon says charities have received nearly $ 125 million as of February 2019.

To set up a Smile account, go to the Accounts & Lists drop-down menu on the Amazon home page and click Your AmazonSmile . From there, you can’t browse the full list of charities, but you can find the organization you want to support by entering its name in the search box.

A search for Planned Parenthood yields 150 results, while a search for Planned Parenthood in Kentucky will yield more specific results. Another good option to consider is the National Abortion Fund Network .

When you place an order, eligible products will be marked as “AmazonSmile Donation Eligibility” on their product pages. For your order to be valid, you must place it through smile.amazon.com and not on the regular Amazon home page.

Of course, for greater and immediate impact, you can also donate large sums directly to abortion foundations or organizations that provide services. Jezebel has a great list if you need suggestions.
