Celebrate Beautiful Microcosms With the Miniworlds Subreddit
Each sub-forum on Reddit is a microcosm. Unlike the chaos of a Twitter or Facebook feed, a subreddit sticks to a single format or theme. He has his own rules, customs and jokes. And on r / Miniworlds, every post is also a microcosm. Each r / Miniworlds post is a photograph of a tiny scene that looks like a whole world. Some are built, some are delivered, but my favorites are natural. In the picture above , for example, a stone in a puddle. Here is a selection of the best posts from the subreddit.
My favorite post from r / Miniworlds – the repost fromr / is interesting to say the least . This aerial view of frozen farmland, posted by Reddit user SigmaNukem, is actually a snapshot of a puddle:
This section of the beach bush , shot by the editor of the Viavant site, is smaller than it looks. This is a beetle flying above.
I miss the tiny islands, they seem full of adventure. Redditor t0nkatsu embroidered an island of threads :
Greater mini-worlds include a dystopian city of failed 3D printing , a figurine of a bear catching a drone for a photo shoot , a cotton field concert , a city of circuit boards , a world of moss on a bicycle seat , a square of one square. – a pedestrian park , a map of the park in a puddle , the main horizon and a concert hall inside the violin . If you like a particular photo, click “Flair” next to the title of the post to see similar photos in the subreddit, such as man-made mini- worlds , water worlds, or purely natural mini-worlds .
If you’re curious, visit r / misleadingthumbnails to see photos that look like one in thumbnail but actually turn out to be something else. Great posts include a shot from The Matrix , a crowd at a concert , a dropped ice cream cone, and a Starbucks latte caught in the middle .
