Store Food on the Go to Showers
If you travel frequently with your family, there will be times when you and your offspring will have to eat food in the car. And all this time a catastrophe can be expected. Takeout is the worst. The paper bags are usually greasy, the cups have faulty lids, and nothing is set in them for a proper meal. The fried fries will inevitably get stuck in the crevices of the rear seat and it’s only a matter of time before you hear the words, “Rowan spilled his milkshake all over the place !”
This is an area where a little preparation can go a long way. For snacks on the road, bring a storage container for each passenger. These small containers can hold all the ingredients of your meal – from the drink to the main course to the required napkin bag – so you don’t have to put them on your lap. The caddy above is an old school supplies organizer , but the showers at the dollar store are great too.
Now you and your family can wrap the onion rings in a scarf without burying your hands in the bottom of a greasy paper bag or getting scalded by the hot hamburger foil along the way. Better now, right? Here’s another tip for packing for your trip: Ditch your suitcases in favor of laundry baskets.
