Win a Vacation by Sharing Your Horror Travel Story
Many of us have experienced a catastrophic flight or a debilitating seasickness that has turned a vacation into a nightmare. Well, one company wants to reward one traveler with a second trip and cover costs up to $ 10,000, not including seasickness.
According to the competition’s website, theAmerican Society of Travel Consultants is n’t just looking for some old horror story; they look for the worst travel stories based on their decision on criteria such as “uniqueness” and “scale” of difficulties during your trip (and how much a travel agency could help you).
Accordingly, the company will also assign you a personal travel agent to handle the organization. You can also take a friend with you on your trip.
To participate, you will need to fill out anonline form and submit a video by July 19 describing your hellish time. The winner will be selected by August 1st.
“We want to be able to make a name for ourselves and hear how badly they need this makeover,” said Erica Richter, ASTA’s director of communications.
And if you need inspiration, Charlotte Burns , editor of the In Other Words podcast, shared her experience of United’s recent flight, with an ant colony bursting out of a sack in a trash bin overhead.
“The ants are running all over the place, and the guy in front uses his hands like little tweezers, taking them off one by one. The guy in the cab uses sterile lemon wipes, ”she wrote on Twitter . “… The guys in the middle aisle shrug their shoulders, say, ‘At least they’re not bugs.”
