What’s in Store for and Out of Netflix in the Week of August 26, 2019

You and I are not one of those people for whom the whole “summer is over, we will return to routine” as soon as Labor Day approaches; There are still three weeks of sun and fun left, and we are ready to maintain a light vigorous mood until the first frost. And so our friends at Netflix don’t see returning to school as a reason to get down to business either – look at this week’s unremarkable streaming offerings for proof. Netflix put Trolls: The Beat Goes On!: Season 7 (Tuesday) in a junkyard at the end of August and to keep you off the street barbecuing all Labor Day weekend, you are not joking with the Zohan (Sunday) …

There are some semi-normal things to eat at the party if it rains or you find yourself uninvited for a barbecue ( NB , you can make your very nice Beyond Burger in a cast iron skillet): Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Falls Friday, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD: Season 6, The Walking Dead: Season 9 and a couple of Lord of the Rings movies are coming Sunday. I won’t watch any of this, but who am I to be jealous of my friends for their science fiction and superhero addictions? You never judge me for only loving documentaries about murder and cults, and it is this spirit of freedom to be you and me that makes our relationship so precious.
