Get Priority Boarding on Alaska Airlines This Week With the Starbucks Red Cup
If you’re on an Alaska Airlines flight this week, you might want to stop by Starbucks on your way to the airport. Starbucks Red Cups is launching tomorrow, November 7, and to celebrate the event, the chain is partnering with another Seattle-based company, Alaska Airlines, to offer customers free priority boarding.
The promotion runs from 7 to 10 November.
To participate, you just need to bring the Starbucks Red Cup with you to the airport (or score one at the Starbucks airport). Anyone with a holiday cup at the gate can enter the “espresso lane” that occurs after Group B. If you don’t have one, you will simply board with your assigned group.
The deal applies to disposable and reusable cups if they are released this year and have a holiday theme. You don’t need to drink from a glass to qualify, so bring a glass from home.
Starbucks pilots compostable cups at some airports, including SFO, ATL, and MSP, so they won’t have holiday cups at these locations. At these airports, drinks will be served with holiday cups, which, along with the regular cup, are eligible for priority boarding.
If you have a flight to Alaska in the next few days and are in discussion about picking up your coffee at the airport, that might be a good reason to indulge yourself this week.
