Try the Complimentary Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich at Dunkin This Friday and Saturday
If you wanted to try the Beyond Meat sausage, now you have a chance to try it on a test drive.
Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich is being distributed today in Dunkin stores across the country. If you’re in no rush, the chain is offering sandwich samples free of charge this weekend on Friday and Saturday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am while stocks last.
Obviously there will probably be a small queue to try, so you probably want to get to local Dunkin ‘as close as possible by 8 a.m. Keep in mind that on Friday you will be battling both the free food crowd and the morning coffee crowd, so this lineup is potentially going to be a goofy one.
Like the Beyond Meat burger, which is now available in a myriad of places, Beyond Sausage is a planetary alternative to meat.
While the hamburger version is relatively similar in health to the beef, the sausage version is actually slightly healthier. A sausage sandwich is lower in calories, total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium than sausage.
The sandwich, served on an English muffin with a slice of cheese and an egg, also contains 10g of protein. The network claims that you can make it vegetarian by ordering it without cheese or eggs.
And if you don’t get a chance to sample it this weekend, the Beyond Sausage sandwich is expected to be regularly sold at Dunkin ‘stores.
Updated on 11/8/19 at 10:02 am: Updated to reflect that Dunkin ‘offers free sandwich samples rather than free full sandwiches . Which is not so much fun.
