This Sony OLED TV Is Now $200 Off.

OLED TVs have become the standard for those seeking deep contrast and cinematic picture quality in their homes, but their price tags often significantly exceed most budgets. That’s why discounts on models from major brands are catching the eye, and the 65-inch Sony Bravia 8 OLED (2025) is now on sale on Amazon for $1,198, down from $1,398. According to price tracking data, this is the lowest price it has ever reached. Discounts apply to other sizes as well: the 55-inch model costs $998 , while the 77-inch model costs $1,798 . The Bravia 8 delivers the deep blacks and high contrast that OLED TVs are typically sought after, but it’s not Sony’s brightest or most color-accurate model. More expensive options, like the A95L OLED, improve on these qualities but come at a significantly higher price.
The Bravia 8 TV features a virtually bezel-less display, and the rear panel features four HDMI ports, including two with 4K support at 120Hz and one with eARC for audio systems, as well as USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet, an optical audio jack, and an antenna port. Sony uses Google TV as its operating system, so apps like Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, and YouTube are preinstalled, and you can stream content from phones or laptops using Google Cast or Apple AirPlay. It also has built-in support for Google Assistant, meaning you can search for shows or control compatible smart home devices using voice commands.
Picture quality reflects both the strengths and weaknesses of this model. Like most OLED TVs , it delivers perfect black levels without glare, and its infinite contrast ratio makes movies and dark scenes rich and detailed. Furthermore, the panel features 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate , and supports Dolby Vision , HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG. Brightness reaches approximately 587 nits, which is decent for an OLED, but not as high as many premium LED TVs. PCMag notes that colors are a bit cool by default, and some detail in deep shadows can be lost in very dark scenes. Gaming performance, however, is excellent. In Game mode, the TV shows an input lag of approximately 4.6 milliseconds, which is well below the threshold sought by most gamers, and it supports a variable refresh rate for smoother gaming.
