Yes, Amazon Is Down.

If you’re shopping online or simply trying to access certain websites and nothing loads correctly, it’s likely not your internet: Amazon is down. As of Thursday afternoon, Amazon services, including Amazon.com and AWS, are experiencing loading and performance issues.
This can be seen on the website Downdetector , which tracks user reports of problems with websites and services. (Note: Downdetector is owned by Lifehacker’s parent company, Ziff Davis.) At the time of this writing , Amazon.com has tens of thousands of user reports , and AWS has thousands more . Prime Video, Amazon’s streaming service, also has user reports , though they are less serious.
It’s still unclear what exactly is causing the problems, but this isn’t the first time Amazon has made headlines for outages. In October , AWS also suffered a massive outage that paralyzed much of the internet. Many websites and services depend on AWS, so when Amazon has problems, all these companies suffer, too.
I’m sure we’ll figure out the problem eventually, and Amazon will undoubtedly release a fix soon. But this shows that even the world’s largest companies aren’t immune to problems. And when these issues arise, they affect a lot of users.
