Samsung’s February Security Update Is Now Available for These Devices.

This week will be a big one for Samsung. On Wednesday, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, the company will make several major announcements, unveiling the next-generation Galaxy S series (which almost certainly means the Galaxy S26) as well as new AI updates. Ahead of the event, Samsung is also rolling out the latest security updates for its Galaxy devices—at least some of them.
What’s new in Samsung’s February security update?
Samsung’s February security update contains 37 fixes for issues discovered by the company since the January update. This time, there are no critical fixes, but there are numerous fixes for “high” severity issues. According to SamMobile , 25 of these fixes were provided by Google and address issues with Android in general, while the remaining 12 were developed specifically for Samsung and address issues within its own ecosystem. This includes issues with the Emergency Access feature, Knox Guard Manager, Samsung Dialer, the Samsung Settings app, face and fingerprint authentication systems, and the PACM module—all of which are specific to Samsung’s own OS.
Not all Galaxy phones will receive this update right away. Samsung is starting with the Galaxy S25 series , which includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The update is also apparently rolling out to the latest foldable devices , including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z TriFold . If you purchased Samsung’s latest and greatest phone—at least before the S26 series—you’ll likely see the update in the Settings app soon. If your Galaxy device is older (or even a year older than the S25 series), you may have to wait a bit longer for the update to appear.
Speaking of anticipation, Samsung began rolling out this update to Korean users first, so if you’re in another region, you may not see it right away. But it looks like the update is on its way, especially considering Unpacked is coming on Wednesday.
