This is Samsung’s most functional watch, and its LTE connectivity means you can leave your phone at home and still receive calls, send messages, and stream music. This alone gives it a significant advantage over Wi-Fi-only smartwatches , especially for runners, cyclists, or anyone who wants to spend less time on their phone.

This model is part of the latest Samsung Watch 8 line, released last summer, and has already received high praise , including an “excellent” review from PCMag , which called it the best Android smartwatch of 2025. Its Super AMOLED display is bright enough to read outdoors, even in bright sunlight, and the interface is snappy thanks to a Samsung Exynos W1000 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Health tracking goes far beyond step counting, supporting a wide range of fitness and health tools, including heart rate, ECG, temperature, blood oxygen, and even antioxidant levels. Google Gemini is also preinstalled for smarter voice control. However, this watch works best with Samsung phones . You’ll need any Android 12+ phone to use it, but some of the more advanced features, like snore detection, are only available on Samsung devices.

What do you think at the moment?

The tradeoff, as with most Samsung watches , is battery life. Under real-world use, the watch lasts around 26 hours, so daily charging is part of the routine. This won’t suit everyone. On the other hand, durability is top-notch: IP68 dust and water resistance, a 5ATM water resistance rating, and MIL-STD-810H certification for more challenging conditions. If you’re fully committed to Samsung and want a truly independent smartwatch, this offering makes a lot of sense, especially at this price. But if you’re still weighing your options, see how it compares to Google’s flagship wearable, the Pixel Watch 4, here .
