This Owala Water Bottle Is My Health Upgrade This Week.

When Owala water bottles started appearing in every influencer’s “essentials” video and flooding my Instagram feed, I rolled my eyes. I assumed they were just another overpriced product that people would forget about in three months, just another Stanley Cup successor.

One of my biggest personality traits (or “flaws,” as some call me) is my penchant for spilling drinks. An exposed Stanley Cup straw is unacceptable to me. In fact, no water bottle technology outperforms my ability to spill its contents. After my last bottle made another puddle in my bag, I gave in and bought an Owala. And now I have to admit, this water bottle has officially become a life-changing experience.

Why is Owala water bottle the best?

I’m a huge fan of the FreeSip cap—yes, that’s what it’s called, and yes, it lives up to its name—it’s truly brilliant in its simplicity. The built-in straw allows for small sips without tilting the bottle (perfect for walking, driving, or, in my case, lounging on the couch). Opening the cap slightly reveals a wide mouth for quick sipping. One lid, two drinking options, and, most importantly, a push-button lock that has saved my laptop, my planner, and my dignity. Seriously, I can’t emphasize this enough: I’m a master pourer. The Owala locking mechanism is the only thing that keeps me from constant disaster.

At 24 ounces (about 680 ml), it’s the perfect size: big enough that I don’t have to refill it every hour, small enough to fit in the side pocket of my bag without making me feel like I’m going on a weekend hike when I’m just running errands. It’s become my constant companion without making me feel like I’m lugging around gym equipment.

Sometimes bloggers really are on the right track. And now I’ve become part of the problem, becoming that person who talks nonstop about their water bottle. But when you find something that solves several pressing problems at once, when a product actually delivers on its promises and doesn’t just look good in photos, it’s hard to resist recommending it to others. Owala works. I drink enough water, my bag stays dry, and I can hydrate comfortably wherever I go.
