ChatGPT Service Is Unavailable Again.
If you tried to contact ChatGPT this morning, it may not have responded—unusual for a bot that’s always talking. It’s not your internet connection or your OpenAI account: ChatGPT is down.
According to Downdetector , a company owned by Ziff Davis, the parent company of Lifehacker, users began reporting issues with ChatGPT at 11:56 AM ET. By 12:11 PM, the number of reports had increased sharply, and at the time of writing, the total number of incidents exceeds 7,000. If you’re an active ChatGPT user, you may have also experienced issues with the bot yesterday: Downdetector shows over 25,000 reports of outages starting at 2:56 PM on Tuesday and resolved around 4:11 PM that same day.
As with all outages, OpenAI will likely find a solution fairly soon. But such outages are becoming increasingly common. Of course, there was the Verizon outage , but other services , like TikTok, have also experienced intermittent outages.
