This Compact Sonos Soundbar Is Now on Sale for $130.
If you’re looking to upgrade your home theater system, Amazon is currently running a big sale on Sonos devices , with nearly everything on sale at significant discounts. And in my opinion, the Sonos Beam Gen 2 is one of the best deals: this compact soundbar doesn’t compromise on premium features, and it’s currently marked down to $369 (originally $499), a near-record low according to price tracking tools . This is the soundbar I’d choose if I were looking for a powerful option that doesn’t take up a lot of space in my living room.
This isn’t the first Beam soundbar—the first was the Sonos Beam Gen 1 , released in 2018. It was the first smart soundbar to support Google and Alexa voice assistants, as well as AirPlay. Sonos Beam Gen 2 arrived in 2021, adding Atmos compatibility, eARC connectivity, NFC, and a more powerful processor. The Sonos Companion app has also been significantly improved, providing a much more user-friendly experience and adding features like Sonos TruePlay, which calibrates the speaker based on your environment.
Last year’s release of the larger and more powerful Sonos Arc Ultra knocked the Beam Gen 2 off the top of Sonos’s product list, but that only means you have a better chance of getting a good deal on a still-excellent device. Its flat, tablet-like design (measuring 2.7 x 25.7 x 4.0 inches) makes it extremely compact, yet it still delivers powerful sound (with Dolby Atmos support), as noted in a PCMag review, which called it “excellent.” If you’re looking for deep bass, you’ll need to add a Sonos subwoofer, but otherwise, it’s a great replacement for your TV’s built-in speakers.
