This 77-Inch Samsung OLED TV Is Now Under $1,500.

It’s rare to find a 77-inch OLED TV for under $1,500. Seeing one for $1,419.99 is even rarer. This price is lower than the lowest listed price for the Samsung S85F and significantly lower than Amazon’s current price of $1,597.99. Woot’s offer is for a factory-refurbished unit. In return, you get a 90-day Samsung warranty and free standard shipping if you’re a Prime member, while non-members pay an extra $6. The offer is valid for two days or while supplies last.
The Samsung S85F is positioned as Samsung’s entry-level OLED TV, replacing the 2024 S85D and positioned just below the S90F and S95F in the lineup. It lacks the more advanced AI-enabled processor found in higher-end models (which primarily impacts upscaling speed and HDR tone mapping), but you still get Samsung’s 2025 Tizen operating system with all the essentials—a built-in voice assistant, cast support, and a responsive user interface. Connectivity-wise, all four HDMI ports support 4K resolution at 120Hz with variable refresh rate (VRR), making it a worthy option for PS5 and Xbox Series X users. It doesn’t support Dolby Vision HDR, as is typical for Samsung TVs, but it does support HDR10+ , which offers similar dynamic range enhancements.
The WOLED panel showcases the strengths of OLED in dark rooms. Blacks look truly black, colors are vibrant and not artificial, and the viewing angle remains consistent, even when sitting at the side. Glare control is excellent, so overhead lighting isn’t a critical issue, although black levels noticeably increase in brighter rooms. For mixed use, such as watching movies at night, gaming sessions, and general daytime viewing, it works well. If you’re happy with the refurbished screen and don’t need extreme brightness, this is a practical way to get a large OLED monitor without the usual exorbitant price tag.
