Where Can I Watch All the Nominated Films Before the 2026 Oscars?

It’s Oscar season! I mean, it’s that time of year when moviegoers rush to watch as many Oscar-nominated films as possible before the awards ceremony, which takes place this year on March 15th on ABC. Judging by box office and streaming figures, there’s a good chance you’ve already seen this year’s nominee favorite, The Sinners , which not only received the most nominations in 2026 but also the most of all time (and I’m not complaining about that), but the second-most nominated film of the year, Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle at a Time , is also readily available.

Unfortunately, it’s currently difficult to watch top nominees like “Marty Supreme,” “Hamnet,” and “The Secret Agent” online, which are still showing in theaters. It’s also too early to see films like “Sirat,” “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” “Kohukoo,” “Viva Verdi!” , “Arco,” “Zootopia 2,” and “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” although there’s a good chance that situation will change before the first announcement envelopes are opened. I’ll continue to update this article as new films become available on digital platforms. If you’re not a die-hard film fan, you’ll have plenty to keep you occupied until then.

Sinners

16 nominations in the categories: Best Picture, Best Actor (Michael B. Jordan), Best Supporting Actor (Delroy Lindo), Best Actress (Wunmi Mosako), Best Director (Ryan Coogler), Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Song (“I Lied to You”), Best Original Score, Best Casting, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Sound, Best Visual Effects.

Ryan Coogler’s “The Sinners” didn’t just do well in terms of nominations—it reached a historic high. The previous record was 14 nominations, dating back to 1950, when “All About Eve” deservedly won. “Titanic” and “La La Land” tied that number, but it hasn’t been broken yet (the addition of the new “Best Cast” category helped somewhat). Nominations aren’t awards ( La La Land ultimately missed out on the top prize for Best Picture), but it’s still a significant achievement.

It’s also a rarity for The Sinners in another sense: It’s one of the very few horror films nominated for Best Picture, and perhaps only the second (after The Silence of the Lambs ) to win the award. Watch The Sinners on HBO Max and Prime Video .

Frankenstein

9 nominations in the categories: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Jacob Elordi), Best Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Costume Design, Makeup and Hair Design, Best Original Score, Production Design, Sound.

Guillermo del Toro’s long-awaited adaptation of Frankenstein , a perennial Oscar favorite, finally hit theaters (albeit briefly, thanks largely to Netflix) this year, and the results lived up to expectations. Sumptuous and just the right amount of terrifying, the director’s film did justice to Mary Shelley, earning nine nominations along the way. While there are hundreds of Frankenstein films, I’m fairly certain this is the first to win a major Oscar.Watch Frankenstein on Netflix.

Sentimental value

9 nominations: Best Film, Actress (Renate Reinsve), Supporting Actor (Stellan Skarsgård), Supporting Actress (Elle Fanning), Supporting Actress (Inga Ybsdotter Lilleas), Director (Joachim Trier), Original Screenplay, International Feature Film, Editing.

This Norwegian film from director Joachim Trier ( The Worst Man in the World, which also stars Best Actress nominee Renate Reinsve) has been nominated for both Best International Film and Best Film Overall. The chances of winning the latter are slim, but the former is quite good. (Between this film and Predator: Badlands , Elle Fanning had a great 2025.) Rent “Sentimental Value” on Prime Video .

This is Yorgos Lanthimos’s fifth film to receive Oscar nominations in the major categories, and his third to be nominated for Best Picture, following “Poor Things” a few years ago, but the celebrated, idiosyncratic director himself has yet to win any awards. Watch “Bugonia” on Peacock .

Hey, is this that Apple movie I’ve seen commercials for a million times (“Brad Pitt: The Movie”) that’s apparently pretty good? I don’t know, I’m not a car guy. But director Joseph Kosinski ( “Top Gun: Maverick” ) sure knows how to shoot fast action. Watch “Fort 1: The Movie” on Apple TV+

K-Pop Demon Hunters

2 nominations in the categories: Original Song (“Golden”), Animated Film

I’d nominate this film for Best Picture, but that’s just my opinion. It’s pure joy, and it’s very likely to win both awards (if it loses the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, the teens will probably riot).Watch the K-pop film “Demon Hunters” on Netflix .

Blue Moon

2 nominations: for Best Actor (Ethan Hawke), for Best Original Screenplay.

Best friends Richard Linklater and Ethan Hawke reunite to tell the story of Broadway songwriter Lorenz Hart on the opening night of the musical “Oklahoma!” It sounds like a rather niche film, but it’s definitely worth a watch—Hawke is definitely a Best Actor contender. A song sung in blue

Nominated for: Best Actress (Kate Hudson)
