Now Instagram Doesn’t Work Either.

If you just tried to open Instagram on your phone or computer and nothing loaded, don’t worry: it’s not your Wi-Fi, and Verizon isn’t experiencing another outage . Meta is to blame, as Instagram is currently unavailable. This is according to Downdetector , owned by Ziff Davis, the parent company of Lifehacker, and as of this writing, over 2,000 users have reported problems with Instagram.
It seems the issues are affecting Instagram in all its forms. While the mobile app worked the last time I checked, it wouldn’t load in Safari. This means you may not be able to view posts, add new ones, or send and receive private messages—at least until Meta investigates the issue.
Of course, it’s inevitable: outages and downtime happen, though they seem to be happening more frequently this week. There were, of course, issues with Verizon ( which the company attributed to a software issue ), as well as with Yahoo !, X , and Microsoft 365. It looks like something is wrong this week. Whatever’s going on with Instagram, Meta will likely sort it out in due course. These issues are usually resolved fairly quickly, but if the problem is more serious, we Instagram users may have to make do without the app for a while.
