It’s Not Just You: Microsoft 365 Is Down.

Attention, workers worldwide: Microsoft 365 is currently unavailable. Microsoft’s flagship productivity suite, which includes tools likeMicrosoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook , is currently experiencing issues affecting users. The exact cause of these issues is not yet clear, but according to Downdetector (owned by Ziff Davis, the parent company of Lifehacker), thousands of users are reporting issues .
There are many possible causes for such a widespread outage, and Microsoft will likely identify and fix the problem soon—especially given how many companies and users rely on Microsoft 365. However, this follows a series of high-profile outages this week. Just this morning, Yahoo! and AOL were down . Last week, X experienced an outage , as did Verizon —which, it should be said, is fairly well-known.
While we wait for a fix, there’s little you can do. If your Microsoft apps aren’t working properly, try using any offline tools available to you. If you have other communication tools besides Teams, use them. Only a patch from Microsoft will restore online functionality.
