The Latest Apple Watch Is Now $100 Off.

I absolutely adore my Apple Watch Series 10. But if I hadn’t upgraded last year, I would have gone with the Series 11 simply for the longer battery life. However, I usually prefer to wait for sales before upgrading, and if you’re like me, Amazon has good news: even though the Series 11 was released just four months ago, its price has already dropped to its lowest ever. You can get the Series 11 42mm model for $299 (down from $399), and the Series 11 46mm model for $329 (down from $429). That’s a $100 discount on all models.
The Series 10 received a major redesign, but the update to Series 11 focuses on smaller usability improvements, the most important of which is battery life. For the first time in 10 years, Apple Watch battery life has increased from 18 to 24 hours. I already use some tweaks to get my Series 10 watch to last two days, so the Series 11 should last even longer.
The screen is brighter, reaching a peak brightness of 2000 nits, and Apple now uses Ion-X glass for a better wide-angle viewing experience. It’s also twice as scratch-resistant, has an IP6X dust resistance rating, and is water-resistant (WR50). And if you plan on using cellular mode, the Apple Watch now supports 5G for the first time. There are also new software features, such as background hypertension notifications and a new sleep quality score (though these are also available on older models).
Overall, the Series 11 is a worthy upgrade if you’re using an Apple Watch Series 7 or 8. PCMag awarded the Apple Watch Series 11 a 4.5-star “Outstanding” rating and an Editor’s Choice award. PCMag notes that “while the watch’s design and sensors haven’t changed much in this generation, it remains best-in-class. With top-notch lifestyle and health features, excellent performance, and nearly two days of battery life, the Series 11 deserves our Editor’s Choice award, making it the best Apple Watch for most iPhone users.”
