This Compact NordicTrack Smart Treadmill Is Now Under $500.

With 2026 approaching, many are setting fitness goals and buying gym memberships. But if you have the space at home, it’s much more convenient to do cardio on a home treadmill and avoid crowds. While it’s far from the most advanced model on the market, the NordicTrack T Series 5 is a smart entry-level treadmill for walking and running that offers reliable performance and a smaller footprint than average. It’s currently 20% off and priced at $479 (originally $599).
The NordicTrack T Series treadmill reaches speeds of up to 10 mph (16 km/h) with a maximum incline of 10% and features a 5-inch LCD display for essential metrics. However, it lacks a large built-in touchscreen (unlike the T-Series 8 , which is currently on sale for 30%), so it primarily relies on your phone or tablet, which can be placed on a dedicated device shelf. Thanks to iFIT integration, you can follow guided workouts, where the treadmill automatically adjusts speed and terrain based on your coach’s guidance as you run. It still features manual mode if you don’t have a subscription, but it’s worth noting that these smart features are part of the price.

At 68 inches (172 cm) long, it takes up less space than many home treadmills, which typically range from 72 to 84 inches (183 to 211 cm), making it easy to fit into small offices, cubicles, and garages. Its compact size also makes it slightly lighter and has wheels on one end, making it easier to move. While the smaller size is a benefit for many, it also means a narrower running belt, which can be a drawback for runners with long strides or those who need more room for lateral movement.
With a 2.6 hp motor, this is a mid-power option. If you plan to run sprints daily or do a lot of interval training, you might want a more powerful model with a 2.6 hp motor. However, for those who walk and jog and want a compact machine with adjustable incline for their workouts, the NordicTrack T Series 5 treadmill is ideal for homes with limited space and for anyone who wants a virtual trainer experience, especially at just $479. However, if you don’t plan to use iFIT and want a wider or longer running belt (or a larger display), you might want to consider a different model.
