CES 2026: Amazon Unveiled Its Version of the Samsung Frame TV.

Not to be outdone by giants like Samsung and TLC, Amazon is entering the picture frame TV market. At CES 2026, the company announced a new line of discreet smart TVs with a new brand and an updated FireTV OS, which will also be available on other FireTV devices.
Introducing the Ember Artline TV series.
Amazon has named its new line of art-themed TVs the “Ember Artline.” They will be available in two sizes: 55- and 65-inch, with the base model starting at $899—approximately $200 less than the suggested retail price of Samsung Frame TVs (though these models are regularly discounted on Amazon).
The panels will feature 4K QLED screens with 450 nits of brightness. Because they’re state-of-the-art TVs, they feature a matte finish, reducing glare and making them less like standard televisions. They also support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Wi-Fi 6. Design-wise, they’re incredibly thin, measuring about 1.5 inches thick.
Amazon’s main advantage with this Ember Artline model is the 10 different frame options that attach magnetically to the TV. You can choose from a variety of textures and colors, including walnut, ash, teak, black oak, matte white, navy blue, fig, pale gold, graphite, and silver. In Art Mode, the TV cycles through 2,000 artworks or your personal photo collection. Omnisense technology allows the display to turn on when you enter the room and turn off when you leave, saving energy.
And, of course, no CES 2026 product announcement would be complete without a mention of AI. Amazon is integrating Alexa+ into the FireTV OS on these devices, including an AI feature that will display artwork on your TV that matches your décor and the room you’re in (after uploading four photos taken from different angles). When connected to Amazon Photos, you can also ask Alexa+ to create a slideshow of specific vacations, days, or events.

The Ember Artline line will be available this spring in the US, Canada, Germany and the UK.
The FireTV interface has also been updated.
Along with the new state-of-the-art TVs, Amazon also showed off a refreshed FireTV interface—and it’s quite similar to Google TV. In my opinion, this isn’t a bad thing; one of my main gripes with the FireTV OS is the slow and inconsistent homepage. A better organization update would certainly help, and visually, it looks much cleaner, with rounded corners, consistent typography, and much better spacing between elements.
The Home screen now features tabs across the top, allowing you to quickly switch between movies, TV shows, live games, and more. You can also press and hold the Home button to open a Control Center-like menu, similar to Google TV. You can also pin more apps to the Home screen. Previously, you were limited to six large apps. The updated interface allows you to pin up to 20 apps of your choice.
The update will begin rolling out in the US next month to Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2nd Gen, and Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series devices, with other countries to follow. It will be available on Ember TV series devices at launch.
