The Google Pixel 10 Now Costs $450.
The Pixel 10 smartphone was released in August of this year, and with a starting price of $799, it was worth considering. A couple of months later, it’s available for almost half price, at just $449 . Amazon is slashing the price of the flagship Pixel 10 (128GB) to $549, and the promo code (PIXEL10) knocks another $100 off. At under $500, it’s arguably the best Android smartphone deal this year.
I usually recommend the Pixel 9a as the best budget option . Its lowest price was $349 on Cyber Monday, and it’s now down to $399 . The Pixel 10, at $449, is a much better deal.
The Pixel 10 features the latest Tensor G5 chip with new AI features like Magic Cue, which aren’t found on the Pixel 9a. It also has 12GB of RAM, up from the 9a’s 8GB. The extra RAM significantly improves AI performance and improves overall battery life. The Pixel 10 series is also the first non-Pro device to feature a telephoto lens. In testing, PCMag found the Pixel 10 camera to be superior to the Pixel 9 series, noting, “It retains detail and colors are more accurate than last year’s Pixel 9.”

The most interesting change that my Pixel 9a doesn’t have is the new Qi2 magnetic charging mount, which supports all MagSafe accessories. I use MagSafe extensively on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, so this would be very welcome. For some, this update alone might be reason enough to consider the Pixel 10 over the 9a.
Overall, PCMag gave the Pixel 10 an “Excellent” rating : “The compact Google Pixel 10 includes most of the Pixel Pro’s features at a more affordable price, making it an attractive phone for Android lovers who don’t need a top-end model.”
The difference between the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro is now quite small. The only downside to the Pixel 10 was its price, and how much better value the Pixel 9a was. Now, with this price drop, the Pixel 10 finally becomes a versatile device, offering flagship specs and camera performance at an affordable price.
