Ever since visiting Japan in 2019, I’ve become a devoted bidet user. I started with a simple bidet installed on a standard toilet, but I always knew it was time for a major upgrade. My first experience with the Loniko smart toilet was at my parents’ house over Thanksgiving. They were thrilled for my brothers and me to try out their new luxury in the guest bathroom: a toilet. The toilet comes with a remote control that can be mounted on the wall for easy access. You can control the flow and direction of the bidet water, turn on the dryer, which was surprisingly effective and gentle, and perform all the automatic actions a toilet does, like open and close the lid, flush, and so on. After learning that most decent bidets cost over $300, I decided to buy this toilet when it went on sale during Black Friday.
Being able to control the water temperature is very important to me, especially in the winter when it’s very cold in the house. Cleaning the toilet is also quite easy. It has a rim, so there are no nooks and crannies near the base where dirt can accumulate. Plus, the toilet automatically cleans itself after every flush.
Keep in mind that you’ll need a nearby power outlet to use all its features. You can also choose a tankless model, which offers a quieter flush, saves water and energy, and has a more modern look, but is more difficult to install (I chose a standard toilet with a tank, and it flushes quite quietly).
