To put this deal into perspective, it’s worth noting that the OLED version of the original Nintendo Switch currently costs $400, meaning you can get a new system and a great game for just $50 more. The ergonomics and design have improved, making the console much more comfortable to hold and look at. Battery life has also improved, now offering around 180 minutes of playtime in handheld mode before running out.
The main thing to consider when deciding whether to buy a Switch 2 right now is that the game library is still small: only a few must-play titles have been released (and those that have already been released can be more expensive, up to $80). But the ability to play older games really makes the transition easier, especially considering that some games, like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, will look better on the Switch 2.
