Even before the 2019 pandemic, I was looking for a universal travel adapter I could take with me anywhere in the world. I stumbled upon an older model from Epicka and bought it almost without thinking, something I rarely do. It turned out to be one of my best decisions, because this travel adapter still works. I’ve taken it with me to various countries and used it extensively on trips to remote parts of India, where power is not always reliable. Last year, I gave it to a friend I met during a meditation retreat, and she’s been enjoying it ever since.
This is the first time I’ve owned a travel adapter for so long. I’ve bought several poor ones before, and they weren’t always able to reliably charge multiple devices or last long. This Epicka was quite impressive in that regard, but it had a few limitations. It charged rather slowly and only had one USB-C port. I’ve been looking for a better travel adapter for about a year, and I think this time I’ll do just that. Epicka has a different model with three USB-C ports and support for charging up to 75W, making it perfect for me. It’s currently at its lowest price during the Black Friday sale.
Even at the bargain price of $45 (with a 15% discount), it’s a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth the extra cost for a fast charger from a reputable brand. I must say, this product is a bit bulky, and some might prefer a more compact charger for travel, but I’ve never been bothered by its size. Plus, this adapter has two USB-A ports (one on each side), which is convenient for those with older charging cables.
This universal Epicka travel adapter has a 4.8 rating on Amazon and 336 reviews at the time of writing. The general consensus among Amazon users is that it’s a great product. One review states that when charging multiple devices, this adapter distributes the charge evenly among them, ensuring they charge quite quickly. The adapter features plugs for the US, UK, Australia, and EU, and a convenient latch that securely holds the plugs in place.
However, please note that if you plan to use high-power electronic devices, such as hair dryers, with this adapter, it will not work for you. This adapter also does not have a voltage converter, so be sure to check whether your electronics come with a built-in converter if you use the Epicka adapter in other countries. Most phone and laptop chargers are dual-voltage, so you probably won’t have to worry about this, but safety comes first.
How long do Black Friday deals actually last?
Black Friday sales officially begin on Friday, November 28, 2025, and will run throughout Cyber Week—the five-day period from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday, December 1, 2025. However, the dates of Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been pushed back as retailers compete for shoppers. The sales are expected to conclude by December 3, 2025.
Are Black Friday deals worth it?
In short, yes, Black Friday still offers deals you rarely see the rest of the year. If you’re shopping or looking for gifts, now is the time to look for deals on essentials, especially tech , home goods , and fitness equipment . Of course, if you’re looking to save money, the best way to save is to buy nothing.
Are Cyber Monday deals better than Black Friday?
Black Friday used to favor large retailers and higher-end appliances, while Cyber Monday favored cheaper appliances and gave small businesses a chance to compete online. However, today, this distinction has become virtually meaningless. Every major retailer runs sales on both days, so it’s best to know what you need, use price trackers, or consult guides like our blog , which uses price trackers, and not worry about finding the perfect time.
