The Skullcandy Terrain Mini supports Bluetooth 5.3, providing a stable connection within a 10-meter range. Its battery lasts 14 hours, which should be enough for most day-long adventures or at least a workday of listening without recharging. When the battery runs low, it can be recharged via the included USB-C port, eliminating the need for wires. A wrist strap is also included, allowing you to attach it to your bag or sling it over your shoulder when you’re on the go.
As for the sound quality, it’s decent on its own, but the True Wireless Stereo feature lets you connect a second unit for true stereo separation. You can also use Skullcandy’s Multi-Link feature to link up to 99 of these units. Of course, you’ll probably never do this, but it’s there if you ever want to throw a flash mob.
However, this speaker isn’t particularly impressive for its size. It’s designed more for everyday portable listening than for booming bass or high volume. The fabric mesh provides durability and clarity, but it won’t replace your home speaker system.
