Of all the game controllers I’ve used, I like Sony’s DualSense the most. I love its weight, ergonomics, and the fact that I don’t have to constantly change AA batteries. And while the DualSense works best with the PS5, it’s also great for PC, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. This is a great price for an easy-to-use controller that’s compatible with multiple devices. I’ve used the DualSense controller with the PS5, PC, and iPhone, and I love it on all devices. I often get drawn into long story-driven games, so I used the DualSense for my second 120-hour playthrough of Persona 5 Royal . The controller worked flawlessly, and I never felt tired of holding it during these playthroughs.
The DualSense controller has a USB-C port for charging, which is quite convenient, but keep in mind that a cable isn’t included. However, if you have another device with a USB-C charging port, you can use the same cable to charge this controller. If you couldn’t tell from the name, the DualSense’s haptic feedback is particularly good because it offers much more than just gentle or intense vibrations. The feedback changes subtly depending on your in-game actions—try playing the free PS5 game Astro’s Playroom to get a feel for the DualSense’s capabilities.
The controller also features a built-in touchpad, accelerometer, and gyroscope, allowing it to be used for motion control. Don’t forget that the DualSense controller has a built-in microphone, but if you don’t want to accidentally record yourself, you can disable it in the PS5 settings .
