I love the ritual (and taste) of brewing pour-over coffee, but it’s not always possible to brew two cups for two adults in my family on a busy morning. Add in guests, and someone has to spend countless hours grinding beans, boiling water, monitoring the brewing process, cleaning the filter, rinsing, and repeating.
I bought the Moccamaster KBGV Select coffee maker two years ago for Black Friday, and it’s transformed my mornings ever since. Grinding the beans and adding water takes about a minute, and in just 4-6 minutes, with the touch of a button, you have excellent coffee—all without sacrificing the richness and flavor of manual brewing. The maker replicates the pour-over effect and brews coffee at a speed that ensures “optimized extraction.”
The Moccamaster brews up to 1120 ml of coffee at a time, keeps it hot, and automatically shuts off after 100 minutes. You can choose a half or full jug, and the machine automatically adjusts the brewing speed and heating plate temperature. It also looks great on the kitchen counter. The only drawback I found was the rather fragile jug. We ended up replacing ours with a more durable version , which was also on sale on Black Friday.
The Moccamaster is pricey, making Black Friday an ideal time to buy. Note that the offer varies slightly depending on your color choice: at the time of writing, 33% off black, red, matte gold, butter yellow, matte silver, navy, pistachio, off-white, orange, sandstone, stone gray, turquoise, and pink. Apricot is 31% off, while yellow pepper, matte black, and polished silver are 35% off. (This isn’t the lowest price we’ve ever seen, according to price tracking tools , but it’s close.)
Several other colors are listed at full price for this item. Of course, availability may change during the offer period compared to what’s listed here.
How long do Black Friday deals actually last?
Black Friday sales officially begin on Friday, November 28, 2025, and will run throughout Cyber Week—the five-day period from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday, December 1, 2025. However, the dates of Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been shifted as retailers compete for shoppers. You can take advantage of the same Black Friday deals early in the season , and we expect the sale to end by December 3, 2025.
Does Amazon have Black Friday deals?
Yes, Amazon does have Black Friday sales, but the prices aren’t always accurate. Use a price tracker to make sure you’re getting the best deal, or consult guides like our price-tracking blog . And if you have an Amazon Prime subscription, make the most of it .
Which stores have the biggest discounts on Black Friday?
With both large retailers and small businesses competing for Black Friday shoppers, you can expect sales at virtually every store until Monday, December 1, 2025. The “best” discounts depend on your needs, but in general, the biggest discounts tend to be offered by large retailers that can afford lower prices, such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Home Depot. You can find all the best sales from major retailers on our blog .
Are Black Friday deals worth it?
In short, yes, Black Friday still offers deals you rarely see the rest of the year. If you’re shopping or looking for gifts, now is the time to look for deals on essentials, especially tech , home goods , and fitness equipment . Of course, if you’re looking to save money, the best way to save is to buy nothing.
Are Cyber Monday deals better than Black Friday?
Black Friday used to favor large retailers and higher-end appliances, while Cyber Monday favored cheaper appliances and gave small businesses a chance to compete online. However, today, this distinction has become virtually meaningless. Every major retailer runs sales on both days, so it’s best to know what you need, use price trackers, or consult guides like our blog , which uses price trackers, and not worry about finding the perfect time.
