Compatibility covers approximately 85% of 24-volt HVAC systems; however, if you have older wiring or a more complex configuration, a C-wire or professional service may be required. The Model E also supports fewer components than the flagship Learning Thermostat and does not include remote sensors, so room-to-room temperature differences won’t be fully addressed without purchasing additional components.
