My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: This 65-Inch TCL QLED TV

TCL makes good non-OLED TVs (perhaps some of the best, considering their price), like last year’s QM7, which I happened to buy. Even in 2025, it remains a great buy if you can find one. There are many differences between QLED and OLED displays , but if you don’t plan to spend thousands of dollars, QLED is perfectly acceptable.

Let’s take a look at the TCL QM6K QLED: the 65-inch TV is $497.99 (originally $647.99) and the 75-inch is $698.70 (originally $999.99). If you’re looking for a smaller model, the 55-inch is $397.99 (originally $599.99), which is the lowest price. According to price tracking tools , this TV is the lowest priced of all. I’ve had the 65-inch QM6K for almost a year now, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by its value for money.

The TCL QM series offers excellent value for money, regardless of size. The QM6K is a significant improvement over last year’s model: it now features local dimming zones (500, according to a CNET review ) and a mini-LED panel, significantly improving contrast. Color reproduction is also surprisingly accurate right out of the box when watching HDR content, making it ideal for those who don’t like fiddling with settings.

With the QM6K, you get a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR formats such as HDR ULTRA with Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG, Dolby Atmos audio, an anti-glare screen, four HDMI inputs (one of which is eARC), and Google TV Smart OS (my favorite) with built-in Chromecast, which means you can stream from your phone. According to a ZDNet review, it also has built-in Apple AirPlay 2 and Alexa .

If you’re a gamer, according to IGN’s review , the QM6K has a lot to offer. The Game Bar feature lets you adjust settings on the fly. It also features a VRR accelerator that doubles the refresh rate to 288Hz. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology is also supported, ensuring a smooth gaming experience on PC or console. It’s a truly impressive budget QLED TV.
