The Meta Quest 3S VR Headset Has Dropped to Its Lowest Price Ever on Amazon.
With the holiday season approaching, deals on VR headsets are skyrocketing. The Meta Quest 3 remains the gold standard in this space. The more affordable, yet equally popular Meta Quest 3S (128GB with Gorilla Tag) is now priced at $249.99 on Amazon (originally $299.99), a 17% discount and the lowest price ever, according to price tracking tools.
PCMag magazine awarded this headset an Editor’s Choice award and named it ” The Best Affordable VR Headset .” This detailed review praises its fast processor, color-accurate camera, and versatility across a wide range of games and apps. The Meta Quest 3 can operate standalone or with a PC.
The screen resolution is 1832×1920 pixels per eye, which is slightly grainier than the more expensive Quest 3, but still sharp, and supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It has the same processor as the Quest 3, but only 128 GB of storage, compared to 512 GB on the Quest 3. Despite the smaller battery capacity, it lasts longer (2.5 hours versus 2.2 hours) thanks to its lower-resolution display.
The headset features intuitive Meta Quest touch controllers, identical to those on the Quest 3, but for accurate tracking, they must be within the headset’s line of sight. The Meta Quest library offers a vast selection of apps; however, it’s more suited to gaming and game-based education, art, and training than a serious work tool.
While the graphics aren’t as sharp as the Quest 3 and the field of view is narrower, it offers a similarly immersive VR experience at a lower price ($250 less), making the Meta Quest 3S a fantastic budget VR headset.
