Your Old Peloton Bike+ Seat Is Being Recalled.

Two years ago, Peloton recalled the seatposts on its classic bike models. Now, the brand is doing the same with the seatstays on older Bike+ models (but not on the new Cross Training Bike+, which was released a few weeks ago ).
If you have an older model Bike+ , you’ll need to contact Peloton to arrange a replacement.
Which Peloton models are subject to the recall?
According to Peloton , this is a voluntary recall of seatposts for Bike+ models manufactured between December 2019 and July 2022 and sold in the US and Canada. If your Bike+ has the model number PL02 on the label inside or behind the front fork or flywheel, it is affected by the recall. If you’ve checked and are still unsure, follow this link for more information.
Why does a recall occur?
As with the previous recall of classic bike seats, this issue involves the Bike+ seat post, which Peloton says “may break during use, creating a potential risk of falls and injury to consumers.”
The situation appears to be less severe than the previous recall, which injured at least 11 people due to faulty uprights. Peloton reports that it has received three reports of seat failures on approximately 833,000 units in the US, but no reports of seat failures on nearly 45,000 units in Canada.
