Check If You Qualify for This $60 YouTube TV Credit

It’s been four days since Disney channels disappeared from YouTube TV , and some subscribers have received a surprise hidden in their account settings: reports have surfaced on Reddit that some users may be eligible for a $10 credit on their next six monthly bills, though it’s not entirely clear whether this is compensation for the streamer’s issues with Disney.

The bonus doesn’t appear to be available to everyone, but YouTube TV subscribers took advantage of it at Tom’s Guide . Google hasn’t made any announcements about the bonus yet, and according to a post on the YouTube X account , it appears to be completely unrelated to the $20 bonus the company previously promised subscribers if Disney channels were removed from YouTube TV for an extended period. (That specific bonus apparently still hasn’t been paid out, and YouTube told subscribers they “will receive an email with more details in the coming days.”)

It’s possible the $10 discount has nothing to do with Disney’s failure, though its timing is suspect, and it’s not the first time a mysterious discount has appeared for YouTube TV subscribers after a public scandal— 9to5Google writer Ben Shun reported receiving a similar discount back in June, after YouTube TV raised its prices.

Whatever your reason, here’s how to check if you qualify for the new $10 YouTube TV credit on your account, and how to apply it to your next six bills (for a total savings of $60).

How to get a new $10 credit on YouTube TV

According to Reddit users , as well as posts from Shun since the last similar incident, the loan can only be requested through a web browser on a desktop or laptop, which may explain why some users are not seeing it.

Using the specified desktop browser, log in to your YouTube TV account , click your profile picture in the upper-right corner, and select “Settings .” Click “Membership,” and then “Manage.” If you’re eligible for a discount, you’ll see it here. Click “Redeem” to apply the discount.

Again, please note that even if you follow these steps, you may not see the discount, at least according to Reddit community posts. It’s currently unclear how it’s distributed. I’ve reached out to Google for more details and will update this post as soon as I hear back.

When will I receive my YouTube TV credit?

If you don’t see the offer to get a new $10 credit in your YouTube TV account, you’re out of luck: According to a YouTube post on Account X, a $20 credit is currently planned if Disney Channels don’t return to the service soon. The company said it will send out emails with more details soon, so keep an eye on your inbox for details on how to claim it. These emails may also include more details about the $10 credit, which could help those who don’t see it.
