The JBL Charge 6 Is Now $30 Off.

The JBL Charge 6 is currently on sale at Walmart for $169.95, down from its original price of $199.95. On paper, this small discount may not seem significant, but considering the model’s recent release, it’s one of the best deals on a premium portable outdoor speaker .

The Charge 6 retains the same rugged, travel-friendly design JBL is known for, while improving on what made the Charge 5 so popular. It’s built for outdoor use—durable enough to withstand a few knocks and IP68 -rated for dust and water resistance. You can drop it in the pool or take it to the beach without worrying about damage. JBL also added a loop handle, making it easy to carry from place to place.

In terms of audio, this is a noticeable improvement over the previous generation. Inside are a 2.1 x 3.7-inch woofer and a 0.8-inch tweeter, delivering a total of 45 watts of power, along with passive radiators at each end for extra bass. The sound is rich and clear, and while you won’t get heart-stopping bass, it’s more than enough for backyard get-togethers or a long day by the pool, as noted in a PCMag review .

If you need more control, the JBL seven-band equalizer in the companion app gives you ample scope to customize the sound to your liking. As for battery life, the Charge 6 is claimed to last up to 24 hours on a full charge (depending on usage) and can even be used as a phone battery via the USB-C port, which also supports lossless audio when connected.

What do you think at the moment?

Connectivity and functionality are excellent for its size and price. The Charge 6 uses Bluetooth 5.4 for a stable connection and now supports Auracast , a new broadcasting feature that lets you tune into compatible audio streams or sync multiple speakers for group listening. Codec support is limited to AAC and SBC, which may be disappointing for those looking for high-quality Bluetooth audio, but the wired option partially compensates for this shortcoming. JBL doesn’t include a charger or cable, which is a drawback for a device in this price range. However, if you need a loud, portable speaker that can handle real-world use and still sound great, the Charge 6 fits the bill, and its price makes it even more appealing.
