This Nintendo Switch (With Gray Joy-Con) Is Now Under $300.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is out now, and it might not be worth upgrading just yet if you already own the original Nintendo Switch (especially at $450 to $500). If you don’t, you can still pick one up and enjoy the game until the Switch 2 officially launches. Walmart is currently selling a gray Joy-Con for the Nintendo Switch for $294.99 (original price: $361.40). No other reputable retailer is selling this version. If you’re happy with a used console, GameStop has a used version for $209.99 —a great price for a gray Joy-Con.

Given that tariffs on Nintendo and the Nintendo Switch 2 are already in effect, it’s difficult to assess whether this historical price is fair. However, given that the Switch 2 could easily cost twice as much, this makes the decision to buy the original console much easier. The trickier part is deciding whether to get the OLED version. The Nintendo Switch already has an incredible library of games to choose from, which is more than can be said for the Switch 2. This particular model comes with gray Joy-Con, which look more mature than the original blue and red version. You can expect between 4.5 and 9 hours of battery life on a single charge, depending on usage and the game you’re playing. It has a 6.2-inch screen, 32GB of storage, and the ability to play online if you subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online plan, which starts at $19.99 per year. Personally, I enjoyed the classic Nintendo 64 games available to play with the online membership. It’s a nice nostalgic feeling I can relive with my siblings and friends.
