Meta Quest Pro Is Now $200 Off.

The Meta Quest Pro is now just $799.95 at Walmart, $200 off its original price of $999 and a full $90 off Amazon’s current asking price. It’s one of the most advanced virtual reality and mixed reality devices available without a gaming PC (meaning you can dive into immersive apps and environments right out of the box). PCMag named it the best VR headset of 2022 , and even two years later, it remains one of the highest-quality and most feature-rich VR headsets available .

It’s stylish, comfortable, and built for long-term use, with a balanced strap design that places the battery on the back for even weight distribution. However, battery life is short—about two hours on a single charge—which may be its biggest limitation for heavy users. Inside, there’s serious hardware: a Snapdragon XR2+ chip (which Meta says is 50% faster than the Quest 2 ), 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. Each lens delivers 1920 x 1800 resolution per eye with improved contrast and a 130% wider color gamut thanks to local dimming. This means brighter highlights, deeper blacks, and a much sharper image overall.

As for the Quest Pro controllers, Meta removed the bulky tracking rings and replaced them with built-in cameras, allowing each controller to track independently. This results in smoother hand movements and greater precision, for example, when drawing or sculpting 3D objects. Eye and face tracking are also included, allowing your avatar to mimic your actual facial expressions in real time. However, for full immersion, you’ll need the $32.90 face filter , as the standard face pad leaks light from the sides, according to a PCmag review .
