The Best TV Deals Before Prime Day Ends Tonight

Amazon’s Big Deal Days promotion ends tonight, October 8th, but until then, Lifehacker will be sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price tracking tools.

You’ll never have to pay full retail price for a TV. There are plenty of sales throughout the year, and Amazon Big Deal Days—the fall equivalent of Prime Day—is one of the biggest. Below, I’ve rounded up the best deals on TVs from Samsung, LG, TCL, and other manufacturers that are still available before the sale ends tonight.

What do you think at the moment?

The best Prime Day deals on premium TVs

  • If you’re looking for the best picture quality for your money, this 65-inch LG OLED C5 is a great choice, currently on sale for just $1,497. The OLED panel delivers excellent black levels and ultra-high contrast. It also supports Dolby Vision HDR and 4K upscaling to eliminate stuttering when playing older content.

  • For a little less money, you can get a lot more features. The 75-inch Samsung Neo QLED TV uses quantum dot technology and mini-LEDs to produce high contrast and vibrant images (though not the perfect black levels of OLED). At $1,396, it’s slightly cheaper than the LG C5, but if you want a larger TV and are willing to sacrifice a little picture quality, it’s a great choice.

Prime Day’s Best Deals on TVs Under $1,000

  • If you don’t want to spend four figures, the 65-inch Sony X90L Bravia TV is a great option. It uses full-color LED backlighting for better contrast and comes with built-in Google TV software. It supports Dolby Vision HDR and costs $898, a very reasonable price for such a feature set.

  • For those who prefer to pay rent this month, TCL makes some of the best budget TVs, like this 55-inch TCL QD-Mini LED TV for $570 . It uses mini-LEDs for superior local dimming and has a 144Hz refresh rate, though gamers can switch to lower resolutions with higher frame rates for even smoother gaming.

  • In the sub-$500 category , the Hisense 55″ Cinema Series TV retails for just $260 . It features QLED backlighting for better color accuracy and supports Dolby Vision HDR. It also comes with built-in Amazon Fire TV software, so you don’t need to buy a streaming box (unless you prefer a different platform).

  • Speaking of other platforms, a 50-inch 4K TV from Roku retails for just $258 . The key selling points here are Roku’s outstanding Smart TV platform with an extensive app library and sophisticated voice control, decent picture quality for the price, and, of course, the price.

The best Prime Day deals on gaming TVs

  • While many of our favorites are also great for gaming, there are a few models that are truly worth the extra cost. For example, the Sony Bravia XR A95L ($1,998) supports 4K at up to 120 frames per second, delivering incredibly smooth, action-packed gameplay. Its QD-OLED panel also delivers perfect black levels, so your games will look crystal clear.

  • The 65-inch LG G5 OLED is one of the more expensive options at $2,477, but it justifies its price with a beautiful OLED panel, 4K/120fps resolution, and support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync for smooth, tear-free gaming.
