New to Prime Day? We’ve got everything you need to get started . Sales information is accurate at the time of publication, but prices and stock levels are subject to change.
When I reviewed the Suunto Run earlier this year, I really liked it. It’s lightweight, has a bright display, and excellent GPS and heart rate accuracy. In other words, it’s everything you’d expect from a mid-range fitness watch, but at a more affordable price. And today, it’s even more affordable: with Prime Day, it’s just $199 , down from its usual price of $249.
It lasts for at least a week on battery (I got about seven days, though the manufacturer claims up to 12 days) and has become a great running companion. On the trails, when I followed a busy route, the watch kept me on track more accurately than similar Garmin and Coros watches. It also has dual-band GPS, something Garmin’s closest competitor ( the Forerunner 165 ) lacks. So, if you’re looking for a good running watch at an affordable price, this is a perfect option.
Still, the Suunto Run is one of the most affordable watches in Suunto’s lineup, though it certainly stands up to its competitors. If you’re looking for something a little more sophisticated, the Suunto Race is also on sale today: the price has been reduced from $399 to $319. The Suunto Race features sapphire crystal, a 26-day battery life, and access to the Suunto Plus store, where you can download apps for your watch.
