I ‘ve tried quite a few different types of adjustable dumbbells, and no matter which brand you choose, I highly recommend getting a set. The math is undeniable: individual pairs of dumbbells weighing from 5 to 80 pounds in 5-pound increments will cost significantly more than $1,500 (and take up a lot of space), while adjustable dumbbells of the same quality can be purchased for half the price. Add to that the great price and Prime Day deals, and now is the perfect time to buy adjustable dumbbells.

You’d be hard-pressed to make a list of the best home dumbbells without seeing Powerblocks at the top. Thanks to their pin system (my personal favorite among adjustable dumbbells), adjusting your desired weight is quick and easy during your workout. The only real drawback to consider is that you have to fit your hand into the dumbbell frame, which can be awkward (especially if you wear a nice, big watch ).

Alternatively, if you know you’re the type who prefers to do exercises with just one arm, you can pick up a single adjustable dumbbell (up to 50 pounds) for just $199.99 at Walmart right now.
