Prime Day Gaming Deals: Save on Meta Quest 3S, Games, Accessories, and More

Amazon Big Deal Days is running from October 7th to 8th, and before it ends, Lifehacker will be sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price tracking tools.

Finding a great deal on gaming consoles isn’t easy these days. What’s more, the price of a brand-new PS5 is only rising . This means every dollar saved on accessories or games is becoming increasingly important. That’s why we’re rounding up the best deals on console games and everything related.

Prime Day’s Best Game Console Deals

Frankly, this category is pretty barebones. The Meta Quest 3S has dropped to $250 (or $330 for a bundle that includes games like Batman: Arkham Shadow) . On the other hand, almost all major gaming consoles have recently raised prices in response to the new tariffs. The Xbox Series X has gone up to $650 , and the PS5 Pro to $750 . The only major console that hasn’t seen a price increase this year is the Switch 2, but Nintendo has raised prices on everything else .

Unfortunately, since it’s impossible to predict when and how these trends will change, it’s unlikely we’ll see many (if any) console discounts before the holidays. So, now might be a good time to look at refurbished models, like this refurbished PS5 Pro for $620 .

Prime Day’s Best Console Accessory Deals

The third-party accessory market is much more vibrant now than in recent years. For example, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 wireless controller comes with its own charging dock, Hall triggers, and can be used for Windows and Android games for just $45.

If you need extra storage for your PS5, this WD Black SSD is my go-to. For just $180, it adds 2TB of storage and is incredibly easy to install. Game sizes are growing every year, and installing them without worrying about extra space can be quite challenging, but this SSD makes it easy.

There are also some great deals on the official Xbox Wireless Controller ($51), this handy PS5 controller dock ($19), and the SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds ($128), which, surprisingly, are my favorite headphones.

Prime Day’s best deals on console games

Game prices have skyrocketed, but the deals keep coming (finally). Here are some of the best deals we found on games you really should play:

PS5 Games:

Xbox Games:

And, of course, Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft recently announced plans to raise the price of Game Pass , reaching a sky-high $30 per month for the highest version. This makes the offer of a three-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for $57 even more compelling. That’s just under $20 per month, the same as the old Ultimate price. So with this offer, you can extend the price increase a bit longer.

Nintendo Switch 2 Games:

Sorry, but it looks like there’s nothing here—Nintendo games tend to be quite expensive, and since the console is still brand new, there aren’t likely to be any sales on Switch 2 games anytime soon. However, original Switch owners might find a couple of small discounts on games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Odyssey .
