The iPad mini is the smallest iPad in Apple’s lineup, but it’s not the cheapest. If you love compact devices without sacrificing performance or hardware, you’ll love the latest iPad mini. As part of the October Amazon Prime Day sale , the iPad mini is $120 off. The base model with 128GB of storage is available for just $379 instead of the usual $499. This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for an iPad mini, matching the price of the Amazon Prime Day sale in July .

The latest iPad mini (2024) is significantly more powerful than its predecessor, equipped with the Apple A17 Pro chip, the same one found in the iPhone 15 Pro. It handles multitasking and gaming with ease, and also supports Apple Intelligence. Even more impressive, it supports iPadOS 26’s new Windowed Mode, which lets you open multiple floating windows on the compact 8.3-inch screen. The new model also features increased storage, now starting at 128 GB. This means more room for apps and games.

The iPad mini looks like any other iPad in the lineup, but it’s compact, measuring 7.69 x 5.30 x 0.25 inches (H x W x D) and weighing 0.65 pounds. Like the iPad Air, the iPad mini features Touch ID at the top of the screen and supports the Apple Pencil, as well as the new Apple Pencil Pro with new features like pinch-to-select, a rotating tip, haptic feedback, and more. There’s a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. On the back, there’s a single 12-megapixel camera, suitable for everyday use and document scanning.

In its review, PCMag gave the iPad mini a four-star rating , noting that it “remains a well-built and very portable tablet.”
