Amazon Is Selling Echo Smart Glasses at a Steep Discount for Prime Day.

Be wary of sales: sellers often inflate prices before a sale to make the discount seem big, but this isn’t the case with Echo smart glasses. Amazon seems to be trying to clear out a good but unpopular item, so it’s selling them very cheap. The sale price is $119.99 , down from the original price of $329.99. That’s a 64% discount on perfectly decent sunglasses with audio and a frame suitable for vision correction .

These are the third-generation Echo glasses, released in 2023, so they’re not hopelessly outdated; they just haven’t sold as well as Amazon had hoped. But they’re not bad. They connect hands-free to any Alexa-enabled device, so you can say “Hey Alexa” and use Amazon Agent just like you would on any other device—play music, answer questions, control your smart home—all right from your glasses.

Are they as cool and useful as Ray-Ban Metas ? Not even close, but no one sells Metas for $119. Of course, that’s a low price for a pair of silly glasses that do nothing but help you see better. So if you’re looking for a second pair of glasses or sunglasses and/or use Alexa, I recommend taking advantage of this offer.
